  • Sensitive personal information: we do knowingly or intentionally collect what is commonly referred to as ‘sensitive personal information’. There are occasions where sensitive personal information is collected for the purposes of VAT registration which are required by HM Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”) and include the listing of Partners, Directors, Trustees etc information such as names, address, dates or birth, Unique Tax Reference numbers, any associated VAT numbers.
    Information sent to us via email will be held on our outlook email system and will be filed under the appropriate client name. This information is only accessible by the Partners of Elysian Associates and due to HMRC requirements will have to be retained by us for 6 years.

Unless we are investigating suspicious or potential criminal activity, We do not make, nor do we allow our hosting provider to make, any attempt to identify you from the information collected via server logs.

Information we collect when you contact us

We collect and use information from individuals who contact us in accordance with this section and the section entitled

Disclosure and additional uses of your information.

When you contact us via email we collect your email address and any information contained within that email concerning a tax issue. We use the contact email address to contact you, to ask further questions and to reply to you concerning your tax issue.

If a request is made to have your email address added to our mailing list to obtain an invitation to a Tax or VAT Forum, we will do this and invitations will be sent out until you request that they be stopped. The email address will then be deleted from the mailing list.

When an Associates or member of staff leaves Elysian Associates their access to the server and the email contacts list will be deleted thus disabling the outlook email system on their IT equipment.

The same will apply to emails and contact details held on a mobile phone, iPhone in particular.

When a request is made to delete the information, the information will be deleted.

Email

When you send an email to the email address displayed on our website we collect your email address and any other information you provide in that email (such as your name, telephone number and the information contained in any signature block in your email).

When you contact us using our contact email address, we collect your email address, your IP address, your name, your telephone contact number and any other detail that you include in the email referring to the particular tax issue you are querying.  We also collect any other information you provide to us when you complete the contact email.

If you do not provide the mandatory information required by our contact email, you will not be able to submit the contact email and we will not receive your enquiry.

How long we retain your information
